James Reid is a British DJ, producer, and owner of Sonet Music.

James’ musical inspirations originate from the sound of the early 2000s in the US West Coast. This dubby percussive genre leads him to find the underground sounds of France and Romania, which now best represent his style and direction. In James’ sets, an infectious groove is always present with his stripped back minimal sound.

Having lived in Ibiza full time since 2011, James had played in Space Ibiza, shared decks with Carl Cox, performed 3 consecutive years in Sydney at the Space Ibiza on Tour, and annual appearances at Australia’s premier electronic music brand S.A.S.H.

As a music producer, he has released on labels including Zingiber Audio, Whostryo, Plus Plus, and Natural Rhythm. In 2018, he started his vinyl-only record label Sonet Music. Now, he is based in England and focusing full time on his music and his record label. Enjoy his podcast.
